Anna, A portrait.
I think I'm allowed to put up some commercial work once in a while. Especially as it's a shot relevant to the photoblog. Plus the group (Blue Topaz) will not mind me doing a bit of publicity for them. This is a shot from a recent editorial shoot of the group. I personally find these more interesting and enjoyable than wedding photography. You are sometimes given some artistic license to do as you please (if the client trusts you). Feel free to comment on what you think should have been done to improve on the image. This one was one I don't think was going to be used in the final selection by the group. Finally this is Anna, one of the members of the group. You've seen Deborah in a previous post. One day I'll introduce you to Libby.

this i like
image is perfect for me can't think of improvements right now as experimentation, i'd probably try to see how it would look if the rod divided the scene perfectly in half as a diagonal (ie from bottom left corner to top right)
Jide, A good use of Lighting and composition. Top marks.
On what could be improve, technically not much, but looking from the viewpoint of a graphic designer or a picture editor the crop of the top of the violin restricts how this picture might be used as it wouldn't be able to say be placed in a design that bleeds to the right for instance. Other than that, like I said, fantastic. -Skee
I love her dress. The texture of the fabric and colour. Nice. Oh and great photography as always. lol.
very calming.....would love to hear the sweet sound of the violin/ viola RIGHT ABOUT NOW!!! Sweet!
I confess to knowing nothing about studio photography. So ignoring the technical side I just am impressed by the wonderful clarity and the bold composition.
I do a lot of orchestra photos. I love it.
This is beautiful.
I think framing and diagonals makes it a very dynamic picture.
Colors and sharpness make it real and stunning. I love it very much! |
